This resource section:
- Introduces the efforts of the Energy Sector GIS Working Group as a resource to meet the SEforALL mapping standard to requiring "the proximity to the national electric power grid, including overlay with current and near-term grid extension plans;" and
- Introduces the emerging standard for National Health Facility Mapping utilizing geographic information systems (GIS) and artificial intelligence (AI).
Instructions:
- Use the Energy Sector GIS Working Group Interactive GIS Tool to determine the proximity to the national electric power grid for the selected case study: Kigambo Heath Center II. Determine if it feasible to use the Interactive GIS Tool to assess current and near-term grid extension plans. Report on the outcomes of the use of the Tool.
- Review the SEforALL website content on Universal Integrated Energy Plans, and watch the SEforALL webinar: Leveraging demand data for improved energy access planning.
